Laptop shuts down when starting Sims 4, and other games

Hi I have had my laptop for like a year now, and it has been running any game I have wanted to play flawless. But...  Recently I got a new ssd card and a multi cable station that have been causeing me some problems hen opening sims 4, and other games. Which is quit annoying.I have read another question on this site, with a simular problem, but they have dell laptopn, and have a an acer laptop. My latop should be running Sims 4 without problems, since it has a RTX 3050, and an intel core i5. I have asked microsoft support, but without any help. I have done a test on a diagnostics tool for directX, which I have inked below, and I have taken a look in my logfiles after Sims 4 crashed my laptop, the afternoon.

I hope someone can help me😢eafrown:

  • @Hc1834  Shutdowns without an associated BSOD are often related to the system overheating, and I see something about a thermal monitoring issue in your Event Viewer screenshot.  That's hardly definitive though.  What would be better is testing with a fan pointed directly at the laptop to give extra cooling.

You could also turn down all the graphics settings in-game and, at the same time, enable vertical sync.  These in combination would significantly lower the workload and therefore the heat output of your CPU and GPU; if this helped, it would at least suggest that overheating is the problem.  Let me know what you find.
