Laptop suggestions
Hello! I’m in the market for a new laptop capable of running the sims 4 with all expansions in at least medium (but preferably high settings) for around $500-$600. I don’t know much about specs but I’ve been trying to shop around and I have a few laptops in mind:
1. http://www.walmart.com/ip/HP-Pavilion-Laptop-15-6-FHD-AMD-Ryzen-5-3500U-Radeon-Vega-8-8GB-SDRAM-1TB-HDD-128GB-SSD-15-cw1068wm-Horizon-Blue-Google-Classroom-Compatible/343980274 (Actually currently $499 in store, the price shown online is from some third party vendor)
Would any of these be a good buy? I’m not even sure if I’m paying attention to the right specs tbh so any help would be much appreciated! Thanks 🙂
@shyshy01 The 9300H is a little better for gaming than the 3550H, but either one would be more than fine for Sims 4. If you're comfortable with a manufacturer-refurbished laptop, the Acer is a bit cheaper from Walmart:
It's a risk, but a smaller risk than if you bought, say, on Ebay. And there's also a small risk when buying from a third-party seller on Amazon, although when it's delivered by Amazon, the risk is pretty low.
While 256 GB is enough storage for Sims 4, even with a giant pile of custom content, you may want the extra space if you're planning on installing other games, or storing other data, e.g. a photo or music collection.
Either laptop would be great for Sims 4, so pick the one you like better, and you should be fine.
