Last exceptions (again)
After this month's (April 2020) update I keep getting the usual last exceptions. This time, however, when I try to use "LastExceptionAssistant" online it says "unknown error", which means it can't re...
@Gaarel After every patch you need to go through all your mods and CC. That is, all the third party, not EA, material you have downloaded; and look for information on whether they have been updated. Even if you have done so at one point in time, it does not prevent them to error, in case of a new patch.
Here is how to make a new folder:

Follow the very pedagogical description to the point. Do not move back anything from your old folder to the new folder, until you have made a new save and played around in it, doing all the actions you noticed problems with.
If you do not have any problems doing them in the new save in the new folder, that means there is likely something in your old folder that creates the issues. Since there has just been a patch, the first troubleshooting step would be to go through your mods folder.
You have to look every mod and CC up yourself. You can use the 50/50 method for effectiveness.
The Last Exception Assistant rarely have anything to say. You'd be better off reading through the LE yourself, looking for mod names, and then go to that creator's site/Discord etc, asking about it.
I cannot open the LE for some reason. You can post it in text in a post, and under a spoiler to make it easier. I do not promise I am able to understand it. I am waiting for you to try in a new folder first though.
Good evening. As you can see I have not much time at the moment to play, let alone creating a new folder etc. etc. but I'll try that as soon as I can. I've attached one of the latest LEs I have. Another problem is that it seems my Spa Day pack is not working as before (again before June 2019's patch), the objects cause my sims to reset. Also, there is a problem with the food stalls/vendors, same with sinks (when trying to drink) and TVs. I've written this many and many times, so, if this is a "copy" answer, I'm sorry...
Thank you for your time and, again, I'll try to follow what you suggested as soon as I can in the next days.
@Gaarel Any packs you own in Origin should be available to reinstall, for free. It doesn't matter whether you bought them in a store or directly from Origin. You can double-check that they show as owned in your Origin library first if you want. When installing the base game, you'll be asked whether you want to install your packs, and if not, you can choose to install them later. Origin will also probably try to download them the first or second time you launch the game, even if you disable auto game updates.
As for saves and Tray files, whether you need to set them aside depends on whether you want your previous content to be available after you reinstall. If you'd like to start fresh, just delete the Sims 4 folder in Documents\Electronic Arts. If you want to preserve your old saves, move the Sims 4 folder elsewhere, let the game create a new one after you've reinstalled, and then move the save files to the new folder. The same goes for the contents of Tray.
