I took every mod out of the game except the washer and dryer set (2 items). The lighting on medium or higher setting still messes up the visuals (transparent items with lines bleeding through)...it is not just on the washer...but on any item that is using the same type of box mesh. I also started a new game with a new character and the problem persists. Game has been repaired..same issue...the last patch messed up the lighting setting..plain and simple.
I don't know if you already tried this but sims 4 studio has an option for fixing broken lightings.
yes I used that batch fix...but that's not the lighting I am talking about...I am taking about the lighting settings in options on the main menu screen: It controls shadows cast from the sun to name one. The light bat fix in studio repaired some items that were missing footprints and you werent able to place them (like a stain glass CC I got offline). Thanks though.....I really think the patch just needs a patch...not the 1st time a patch has messed things up a bit. Remember that patch a while back that broke our stereo music, and a turned off unit would still show music notes as if it were playing while turned off? A patch came real fast for that one.
