Load Game solution?

I'm running The Sims 4 on a Windows 10 PC without any expansion packs or mods. Most of the time when I start the game there is no Load Game option, so I can't start playing at my last save. I think I figured out a solution. In the Sims 4 Main screen click the patch notes (fine print at the bottom). This minimizes the Sims 4 game and opens your browser to read the patch notes. Close the patch notes and find the minimized Sims 4 icon on your bottom Windows bar. The game should open to the main screen with the Load Game option now working. Clicking on the patch notes is also a good way to minimize the game if you need to do other tasks on your computer.
