The same kind of thing happened to me.. I have my sims game set to auto-update. When it updated it said like (100+) items removed. I thought that was really weird because it never removed mods when I updated. I clicked okay on the pop up message to find that all my mods were removed. I checked the mods folder and they were still there. So I dragged them to my back-up folder (witch I have if something goes wrong) I then restarted the computer and dragged them back into the original mods folder. I opened my game hoping to see the mods pop up but "no" Should I re-download all my mods? Re-install my game?

The creators make it so when your game updates it removes all of your mods and therefore doesn't interfere with the update process. To re-install them you'll have to go into game options > other and check the box to enable modding.

I'm actually having the same problem right now, and I'm so confused! I got Origin access a few days ago, decided to download some more cc because I was bored, and I used sites that I have before. For example Tumblr, Tsr, and Mod The Sims, but for some reason, my game wouldn't show any of the cc. I tried everything. I uninstalled it, restarted my computer, un plugged it, restarted it completely making sure to keep the files, I repaired the game and nothing happened. Please note that I have almost 2,000 pieces of cc, but I only added 87 new mods into my folder, so it really wasn't that much. HELP PLEASE!

did you check if mods/cc are turned on in your game options ?

When you update your game you have to go back in settings and tunr mods back on because updating automatically switches off custom content and script mods. I realise now that this question was asked over a year ago but I wanted to reply anyway 🙂
