mods folder not working

Do you have any Mods or CC? If so move your Mods folder to the Desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. Then test the game.

If it works now check for updates to your Mods and CC. Add it back a little at a time while testing until you have found all that are broken.

It looks like the mods folder you are looking at is not the one the game uses Here is an easy way to find out which folder your game is using: https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2018/07/how-to-find-your-user-folder/

im using the same folder ive been using for a year so that cant be it 

How did you fix this issue and how did you make a new mods folder? I need help

@AritistyX  To create a new mods folder: In your The Sims 4 folder, located in Documents>Electronic Arts; you will find a folder called Mods. Delete it/move it somewhere else if you want to save what is in it; and start the game. It is enough to go to Main Menu, (and then exit). A new folder called Mods will be generated, and you can paste/download your mods into it.

A tip is to create your own thread for any issues you have, and describe them in detail.

Ive been having a problem with my mods because I would download cc into my mods folder and then when I go into the sims 4 it wouldn't come out I've tried to see if my mods have worked on create a sim and none of the mods is there I have no idea how to fix it can someone help me please ☹️
