Mods not showing in game
Can someone help please. I recently just switched from a Mac to a windows PC for better performance for my game. I Used iCloud Drive to transfer my saves, mods, tray folder ect. I load up my game and...
@simsplayer512 Please find the full path to the user folder Sims 4 is currently reading, as described here:
https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2018/07/how-to-find-your-user-folder/
Compare that to the path to one of your mods or custom content files: right-cick the file and select Properties > General, then look for the Location. These paths need to match up to "The Sims 4" or the game won't read the files.
If you need help sorting this out, let me know. If the only problem is moving your data out of OneDrive, here's how to do it:
@puzzlezaddictI have tried almost everything and my mods are still now showing up, only in main menu. The path my files show is C Users\myname \OneDrive\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Screenshots\
@simsplayer512 OneDrive may not be the immediate problem, but it could easily become one, so I'd suggest keeping it away from your Sims 4 data. I linked instructions for how to do that, and how to preserve your user data, in my previous post.
@puzzlezaddictCould it be possible that some of my mods and cc files could have gotten corrupted during the switching of computers? Only some mods are present in my game.
@simsplayer512 Yes, that's entirely possible, and the only definitive test is to download fresh copies of the nonworking files and test them. If they show up properly, then the old files themselves are corrupt. If not, there's a different issue.
