mods won't work/ doing something wrong?

I was cleaning up my Mods folder and i accidentally deleted my resource.cfg file. oops. no big deal though, my friend sent me her one. I opened it in Notepad then saved it to my mods folder. Now everything looks okay but the Mods wont work. Why? They're not there in the game. Please help.

Sometimes if you edit the file in a text editor, it turns into a text file, adding txt to the extension.

Best thing to do, move your mods folder to the desktop, start the game. This should create a new file. Then put your mods folder back and add that new file too.
