Most Recent Save is TMP file and cannot change

I saved my game last night around 6:45pm and left my computer. Came back to boot it up today and it is the save from earlier that day, not the most recent save. Checked my Saves folder on my PC and t...

    Then there is only the option to load the newest save that was saved successfully.

Hi, that worked so I can see the file extension, thank you.

However, when I get to the load screen for the game, this is what I see (Capture.png)

when I load that save, the lots all have triangles above them and nothing is loading properly. It loads a state of my game that happened years ago (neighborhood.png)

Is my save unrecoverable?
