Moving files from C drive to D Drive.
@Neonasaurus There are two Sims 4 folders on your computer, one with the game's installed program files (usually in Program Files (x86)\Origin Games), and another with your user data (always in Documents\Electronic Arts). You can move either folder or both, but copying and pasting doesn't work for either one.
It sounds like you're only trying to move the user data folder though. To do that, the simplest approach is to redirect the entire Documents folder to D; this is easy and supported by Windows.

If you have other reasons to keep Documents on C and want to move only the Sims 4 folder inside, you can use a symbolic link. Be sure to back up your data beforehand though, just in case. This guide was written with an external drive in mind, but it works equally well on an internal drive.
