Multiple THE SIMS 4 folder

Hello all. I have a problem where I have two The Sims 4 folder.

It all started in October during Reaper's Reward events. I was one of unlucky ones who unable to participate in the events. And then from the forum, I found a workaround that works for me so that I can participate in the events. I did it by renaming my folder. I attached the link below.

Reaper's Rewards: Grim Icon Visible But No Quests Available

Note: This issue has a potential fix via renaming or moving The Sims 4 folder:

  • Close The Sims 4.
  • Go to Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 and move the entire The Sims 4 folder to your desktop.
  • Relaunch the game and you'll have a new folder (no saves, no local data, since you moved or renamed the folder)
  • Your saves and other user data are safely stored in The Sims 4 folder you moved/renamed.

My problem is that, ever since the Reaper's Reward events (which I finished and get all the reward) until today I finished another events, I never go back to my initial folder.

I understand that I can copy my save files into the new The Sims 4 folder. But what about my library item? I feel like the new folder only temporary, solely for getting events reward only.

Is there a way that I can play from my initial file without losing events reward from two latest events? I hope this makes sense, English isn't my first language. Thanks.

You need to rename the folder you want to play as "The Sims 4". Rename the other folder to something else.

As an example here's what my folder looks like. I just rename the one I want to play as "The Sims 4"

You can copy the accountDataDB.package from you other folder, or just let the game download your account information to a new  accountDataDB.package file when the game loads. You must have the Game Options\Other\Online Social Features Access setting enabled to allow the game to download your reward information automatically.

  • @krupukriuk If you play from either of the folders then the accountDataDB.package file should get updated when the game loads. This contains all of your reward entitlements associated with your account. The event objects should be available in CAS and Build mode.
