My Script Mods won't work because I cant access the 'other' menu

Recently I've had a problem with my sims 4 and this is sort of linked with my other problem, So one day when I opened up sims 4 my mods came up in a list like usual but when I scrolled down to view my script mods, they weren't there, it was empty of script mods even though all my script mods were in the sims 4 mod folder, I entered the menu on the main page of the sims 4 and I went down to 'game options' (in the menu) the 'other' option does not show up nor does a few more options, normally I would go into the 'other' option and enable script mods but I cant. Can anyone help🤨 also when I exit the sims 4 it exits normally but then after 10 seconds after exiting it says 'sims 4 quit unexpectedly', can anyone help with that too

Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.

Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

    • Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
    • Tray Folder
    • Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
    • Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)
    • Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
    • Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

  • Hi  @Cocoiscute7

have you tried repairing your game yet ?

If not, try right-clicking on the game in Origin and choose repair game.

Glad to hear you found the issue.

The mod has already been updated to yesterdays patch so you can just get the newest version if you don't wanna miss out on it.
