I have been playing sims 4 on windows 8 for months but all of a sudden when I click to open sims, nothing happens, not even an error message. So I tried to open Origin and the same thing happens, nothing. Neither will open.
Have tried the clean reboot that other advised, still no luck, no error messages either, just nothing.
Please uninstall Origin. Then download the latest version here: https://www.origin.com/dnk/en-us/store/download
After installation login to the account you have The Sims 4 on. Rightclick the game in your game library and select Repair.
I'm having this problem, too. I stumbled across this thread this morning and decided to uninstall my Origin, then I reinstalled it and let it update all my game packs before I tried to boot my game and it loaded just fine to the saved games page..
I shut down my system and went to bed for a few hours. After getting up, I decided that I wanted to play me some Sims 4... except now the same issue is back again and I cant open Origin or The Sims 4 again.
