My sims 4 game keeps freezing when i launch the game, "Not responding"

My Sims 4 game keeps freezing whenever I get to the 'The sims 4" starting logo. How do I fix this? Origin has updated it a few times but that hasnt changed anything. I've restarted my computer, and origin. I'm thinking I should maybe uninstall the sims 4 then reinstall it? but will i actually be able to reinstall it because of the code for it or whatever? sorry I'm at a loss and dont know how to fix it. hopefully someone can help.

  • @Missy1547 once you register the game under your Origin accoung you can't delete it from it, the game is associated with your account by registration not by installation. You can install the game on a different computer but you have to be logged in to your Origin account during that.

#ensure that your Firewall and/or Antivirus are not blocking the connection. The easiest way would be adding an exception for the Origin Client,
You need to do this> add firewall/antivirus exceptions for Origin and open the needed ports http://help.ea.com/en/article/connection-issues-with-origin/#1

    # make sure your internet connection is not running through a proxy.

Go to Internet Options in Control Panel > check the connections tab and make sure the proxy server is not checked. Check the internet settings again.

#go in Game Options and unchecked the "online" box. Hit apply changes. Then rechecked the box and hit apply again.

Try in your Origin client, right clicking on Sims 4 icon and select Repair Game.

NOTE  you need to activate Script-Mods, you have to check "Script-Mods:" in the Game Options-you need this settings for your package to work properly-

#try to remove any Custom Content / Mods.

Constantly updating drivers is a good way to Mess'up the whole system. ""Don't fixit with it if it ain't broken!""

The product code is registered to the account that you're logged in to, so you're fine to uninstall and reinstall if that's what you'd like to try.

@Kadesimpsonn CC gets outdated with patches. This thread is from 2015 so it's unlikely the same cc you would be using now.

    50/50

If your game works fine when you remove your mods folder, then one or more mods/cc is no longer compatible with the game and you have to find those.

    Use the 50/50 method: http://modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Finding_Problem_Custom_Content

If this doesn't help, please open your own thread, giving more details what issue you have.
