My sims can't go up the stairs?

I just got The Sims 4 expansion pack of Cats and Dogs and now, when I build an upstairs with stairs leading up to the next floor, my sim won't go up the stairs saying that she cannot make up the stairs. I don't understand. This started happening when I downloaded Cats and Dogs. Is this a bug or something?

    @Yuminao

    If you have mods/cc in your game, remove all of them to see if the game works better.
    For example, move the mods folder from C:\Users\Username\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to your Desktop and start the game.

    If not, try building two floors with just a pair of stairs in them to rule out that something is in the way.

    i am having the same problem...except I DO NOT have cat's an dog's... i installed vampire expansion pack.

    I have the same issue and have downloaded cats and dogs, parenthood, vintage glamor stuff, and city living recently

    Ugh.. I've had the same problem since I downloaded the Cats & Dogs expansion pack.

    Hi @emmeology 

    I know that problem, the footprints of some items are sometimes an issue with that as well, also even just a light fitting hanging a little low.. here's another thread at EA forums, with the same issue.
