My Sims delivered her baby when I wasn't playing

So I have different households that I play in the Sims 4. In one of my households, the mom just became pregnant. I then switched over to another household of mine that I played for a few days and then went back to the other household with the pregnant mom, and she delivered her baby and it was named too. I didn't get to name it or see it happen. Is there any way of preventing this from happening? It's so annoying! The same thing happened to me before but my sim had twins and they had really horrible names and I couldn't change it. I don't like this aspect, I miss when you could load a new neighborhood so that if you play another household, the other one won't continue playing on its own.

    That's how the game works. You can change the name with the cheat  cas.fulleditmode though

    Yes, go into your game settings / gameplay to adjust time relative to your household.  You have options for: global/universal aging (all played and unplayed) sims in the universe; age only the active household; or to turn off aging completely.

    [The new baby] has a horrible name and I can't change it.

    Have you tried going back to the manage neighborhood screen, and then select the household and instead of playing the household, bring them back into CAS to modify the household members?  After one of my characters had married, her name didn't change, so that's how I changed her last name.  I had not tried doing this with the first name however, so I'm not sure this will work.  The one thing I noticed, once the SIM has been created, you can't muck with the family tree, but I'm sure that's the only absolute.

    Babies are still delivered, even with aging off
