@yilinglaozus If you are using the Windows operating system there is 2 locations the game may be using game data. If you enabled OneDrive (logged in) the operating system will move updated files to the OneDrive folder to ready them to sync. The game does not know this and uses the data in the default location in the user documents folder. If you enabled OneDrive BEFORE you started the game, the game will use the redirected files. If you enable OneDrive after you start the game the redirection is broken and the game uses the old files which never change. If you don't use OneDrive don't log in or disable it. If you use OneDrive you can configure OneDrive to no snyc the game files.

I don’t think I have onedrive installed because when click on the icon it doesn’t open anything. I did open some file that said OneDrive and all the dates are from years ago. Also thank you for the help though

@yilinglaozus Something is definitely deleting or moving your newer saves, whether it's OneDrive or another program or a system issue. As a test, please load one of your saves, change one thing that's obvious (buy an item, change a sim's everyday outfit, etc.), use "save as" to rename the save, and exit to the Main Menu. Click Load Game, choose the new save that you just created, and hover over the folder icon with the other save info. You'll see the file path to to that save.
Please write down that file path post it here. You can write [username] instead of your actual username if you want, but let me know if this is NOT the same as the username on your regular Windows account.
- 4 years agoI think I solved the problem I didn't update one of my mods after the update. I should have mentioned I use mods sorry. I didn’t think anything of it since usually it doesn’t mess up my game that much after an update😅. it seems to have loaded correctly. Thank you again though!
