my sims needs bar and options menu is too small to read

I opened my sims 4 only to find that the options menu and my sims needs bar and the like are too small to read. It looks as if they have been zoomed out but there is no way (that I can find) to zoom ...

    @emayg373 This fix isn't needed anymore. You should now find UI Scale in your game options inside the game.

Try this

  1. Open the following file in a text editor: documents\electronicarts\thesims4\options(.ini)
  2. Find the link uiscale = 
  3. If the value is not 100, change it to 100
  4. If it is 100, change it to something smaller (or bigger, unsure what)

I tried to look for the document but found nothing but more folders in the Sims 4 folder,

Is it in one of the folders?

    Hi @Kingfishergal 

    it should be directly in thesims4 folders in documents. The file is either called options.ini or just options depending on your Windows settings.

    Could you maybe post a a screenshot of how your folders look ?

      Sorry that was meant to reply to a specific comment in the thread 😅

      Basically my screen has somehow shrunk both the start up menu and in game, I can't seem to find the options file in the sims 4 folder after following your directions, I can seem to find it anywhere

      Please help, thank you!
