My sims4 takes ages to save

Okay ive been playing a while and suddenly my game decided to just start taking forever to load, it can get to the main Sims4 screen fine but as soon as I hit the play button everything goes downhill and it takes ages to load my sims house. It occasionally will not load characters and now its begun to take forever to save, im at the point where I just give up saving and have to log my computer off using the ctrl+alt+tab option because its just stuck on saving. I wanna make it clear I have NO mods installed and have cleared out my cache and its still doing it, I dunno what to do with it anymore can someone help me out please? 😢
