Hello, would you be willing to share your current computer specs with us?
To do so, go to your “Windows” key on the keyboard and hit the letter “r” key at the same time. These two keys will bring up a small window in the lower left corner of your computer screen reading “dxdiag.” Select “Ok” at the lower left that screen. Then when another bigger window comes up on your screen, select the "Save All Information" tab in the lower left corner of the screen. This will bring up a save screen for you to choose where to save that file. Select to place it on your desktop. Then do a regular “reply”, not a quick reply back to us and you will see the attachment tool which looks like a paperclip just below the screen where you would type and it will read “Choose File.” From there just select the dxdiag file and upload it.
From there Crinrict will be able to further assist you.

@wasikm007 The reason we need this information is to see if your laptop is over taxed with everything you transferred over from your old laptop.
Also, do you have just the basegame or do you have other EA DLC like seasons, cats and dogs, etc.
When you removed your mods folder, did you also delete the localthumbcache.package and the avatarcache.package files from your Sims 4 folder as well? Whenever you remove your Mods folder or any contents within that folder, it is best to remove these cache files as well before re-entering the game, as they store memory of having them in your game.
