No audio and computer crashes on exit

I downloaded the create a sim demo and the sims 4 demo. Neither has any sound. Both crash on exit, and when I try to switch to another application, the whole system locks up.

I found a discussion online that said to delete an options file in the game folder in my documents folder. For the create a sim demo this fixed both the audio and the crashing problem. It did nothing for the game itself.

I also found a discussion online that said to disable all audio devices that aren't being used. I did that. No joy.

Audio works fine in all other applications. It worked fine in the create a sim demo once I deleted the options file.

Your audio interface doesn't seem to have any proper drivers installed. Did you download anything for it ? Have you tried unplugging it and maybe using a head phone or monitor speakers to test if that could be causing issues ?

Also there should be newer graphics drivers for your card.
