No mods file in digital download of the Sims 4?

I downloaded the sims 4 from origin, and I'm trying to install custom content, but there is no "mods" file. Every "how to" video i I've seen says I need to put my content into a mods file. Does anyon...

    Open the Electronic Arts folder in my documents. Inside that folder is a folder called The Sims 4. When you open that folder you'll see the mods folder.

Out of all the mod helps I have read somehow yours worked! You have no idea how happy I am. I just cant believe it was that easy.

    I know right I been looking for hours and it was that simple!

      The folder(s) don't show up until you open the game at least that's how it worked for me in win 10. Before I could only find the resource file under program files(x86), origin games, the sims 4, data, client. but once I opened the game it created the document folders  on where everyone says the mod folder is found.
