no mods showing up in game, no load game button at the main menu
hi! so today i was playing sims and everything was fine. i use cc and mods in my game because i only have base game so i wanted to make the game more fun. i closed my game and went to look for more cc and i put them in my mods folder once i downloaded them as i always do and i never had problems with it before this. then i open sims and im on the main menu. my "load game" button and "new game" button was not there. it was just the big play button (>). i exited the game and i tried to move my mods folder to my desktop and repair my game in origin but nothing worked. someone suggested to move my "saves" folder out to my desktop, start the game and press the big play button so it can make a new saves folder automatically. when i pressed it, it led me to the sims customization and then i see that literally none of my mods or cc were there but they were still in my mods folder. can anyone please help?
@an1ita Your screenshot shows the issue, in the upper left corner: the file path includes OneDrive, meaning that your mods and cc are in OneDrive's version of Documents rather than the version on your hard drive. You'll need to copy or move the entire Sims 4 folder you've opened for your screenshot back to your hard drive.
To make sure you're in the local version of Documents, open a File Explorer window and choose This PC > C > Users > your username > Documents. This is the location Sims 4 will read by default, and therefore also the location where your saves, mods, etc. need to be.
