Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 not recognised by TS4
Hi folks,
My PC's previous GPU (RTX 2080) developed a fault, so I swapped it out for a 3050. Just booted the game up for the first time since the swap and the game immediately produced a popup telling me the GPU wasn't recognised.
Does anybody else have this GPU or a 30-series GPU, is it going to cause issues with gameplay? Do I need to download anything for compatibility? Surely EA's had time to optimise TS4 for the RTX 30-series, we're on the 40-series now, I'm just cheap and bought an older card??
@ThisMicrophone All this means is your card's device ID hasn't been added to the database yet. Nvidia uses multiple IDs, sometimes quite a few of them, for the same card, and sometimes one gets missed. But it doesn't mean anything other than the game has to guess what graphics profile to use by default. So don't worry about it, use whatever graphics settings you want (ultra is fine), and you shouldn't see any problems.
