@MadelineBean I'm not sure what you did to make Origin work, and therefore whether this issue is fixable or not. But you can try repairing the game in Origin: open your game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, and select Repair.
If that doesn't work, try launching Sims 4 from TS4_x64.exe, which is located within the game's program files. Unless you changed the default install location in Origin, the full file path would be:
Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4\Game\Bin
The Bin_LE folder is for the Legacy Edition, so ignore it unless you're trying to play the LE. (It actually shouldn't matter which .exe you use, as Origin should launch the correct version of the game, but still.) If Origin is already open, Sims 4 should launch; if Origin is not open, you should be prompted to sign in, after which the game should launch.
If you can, please run Origin as an admin while testing: right-click on the shortcut and select "Run as administrator." But it's possible this option is blocked on a school computer, especially given how you've described the situation.
