option window appearing as blue/pink square/circle thing

I've had some problems with a few of the actions in Live mode since the last update right before the Cottage Living expansion came out..

I cannot choose any recipes to make, run errands, give gifts, put fish in the pond, access fertilizers to fertilize crops, buy seeds from plant pot, or anything really that has a pop up window..

It is coming up with a yellow line down the page. It disappears when I click anywhere else on the screen, but still cant play the game properly..
