Packs wont download

Yesterday i reset my computer and installed Sims 4. The first time it took a few hours to install, and only installed one pack before it completely gave up installing anything else. I uninstalled and reinstalled, and it ended up installing about half of my packs. But, the other half won't install. When I open the game and hover over the icons, half of them say "downloading" while the others say "download to use". I can see from the origin icon that's on the taskbar that something is downloading, but there's nothing in the download queue, the progress isn't moving, and when I go to launch Sims 4, I get a message that says there's something being downloaded and it can effect gameplay. I've restarted my computer and repaired the game a few times, but nothing seems to have changed.  I've never had this issue in the past.

    Try these tips:

    1. Fully exit out of the game and Origin. - If exiting Origin isn't working, open Task manager (Ctrl-Shift-Esc) search for a file called ts4.exe. Click on it and select end process.

    2. Try resetting the installation folder for Sims 4.

To do this, go to Origin and click Application Settings, select the Installs and Saves tab and re-select the location to install the game to.

For example: Install Sims 4 to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Game

This should help Origin reset the download and see any new updates or content ready to download and install.

    3. If the above two steps don't work, try uninstalling/reinstalling Origin.

You don't loose any Sims 4 files, as they are installed in different folders. If you are concerned about this copy the Sims 4 folder to a USB key.

It looks as though reinstalling Origin fixed the problem. Thank you very much!

@KaceHardware had something similar to this problem due to a power supply burning out suddenly. Spa day and one of the cheap packs aren't installed. Gonna try the usual suspects. I expect reinstalling will fix it.
