Pink and White Line Glitch

When I enter the main menu, the loading screen is taken up with pink and white lines and the options menu too. When I enter Character Customization, certain parts of the background consist of green, pink and white lines etc. Is this a graphical glitch? Is my computer just too old or not compatible with the Sims 4 technology? I'm playing the Sims 4 Premium on Windows 7 Home Premium. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
