- crinrict3 years agoHero+@Pick-a-boo_doo Your screenshot is a bit small but it should still work in that window.
I just tested and it works fine for me but I can't tell if you have a typo in that window since it's so small. - Pick-a-boo_doo3 years agoSeasoned Ace
Thank you for your reply.
Now I'd red your post, and I tried to start new game again. But there's all DLCs in. That text works fine in Origin. Should I reinstall EA app? (You're right, that pic too small for verifying the characters, so attached pics again.) - crinrict3 years agoHero+@Pick-a-boo_doo
Can you try just disabling one pack to see if that works
You did load a save game and the pack was still available in the game, right ? - Pick-a-boo_doo3 years agoSeasoned Ace
Hi, @crinrict
I tried just disabling one pack (GF) using played save data. That worked fine. And then, I try to start new game with empty EA folder as same as yesterday I done. I could get new base game data. Thanks so so much! But what was wrong I don't know yet...
- crinrict3 years agoHero+@Pick-a-boo_doo Does it work with the complete string now too ?

Thank you for the addendum.
In fact, still I'm having issue after I closed this thread.
At the time I posted #5, I could play the base game data. But once I finished the game and start again, EA app does not recognize the argument. The base game data is started with all DLCs.
I keep the argument with complete string in text doc. When I played base game every time using that by copy & paste that in Origin. So that argument is not wrong, I think. But in EA app sometimes that is recognized and sometimes is not.
Today, after I read your addendum, I reinstalled EA app to verify again.
From EA official site, I down load EA app in signing in.
In management panel, I copied & pasted the argument with compete string.
Using played base game data, run EA app.
That was OK, I could play the base game data. But started the same game data again, all DLCs also had run.
It's not impossible playing the game, but it's inconvenient.
What's something else I have to do? - crinrict3 years agoHero+@Pick-a-boo_doo Would yo mind copying your string in your post so I can try if that works for me or not without having to type it ?

Thank you for your reply.
At the moment the things I could find.
Save the argument in EA app. Then before start, only last one character typed by manual.
Start the game with the base game data with clicking "Play" at EA app.
This way can resume the game keeping disable DLCs.
I could make sure that this way useful both immediately after running the EA app and when resume the game after exiting and with the EA app still running.
More one thing I want to make sure, but first I report above.
And to be sure, I post the string below. (That's copy&pasted from my text doc.)
-disablepacks:EP01,EP02,EP03,EP04,EP05,EP06,EP07,EP08,EP09,EP10,EP11,GP01,GP02,GP04,GP05,GP06,GP07,GP10,GP12,SP04,SP08,SP09,SP12,SP13,SP15,SP16,SP18,SP25,SP35 - crinrict3 years agoHero+@Pick-a-boo_doo The disabling seems to work fine for me by just c/p this string but if I understand your post correctly, you found a workaround ? You just have to type something instead of just using paste ?
It could be a language issues but if it works that way, I would just do it that way. - Pick-a-boo_doo3 years agoSeasoned Ace
Thank you verifying the string.
I have since tried and found that if I start the game from the EA app by clicking "Play", it recognizes the arguments correctly. What does not seem to work correctly is when the game is started from the Sims4 shortcut icon. Is this way to start the game no longer available? As I can play the game starting from EA app, I have no problem now, I report just in case.
Thank you so much for your time and sorry my bad English.
