Re: Cannot launch Sims4, System cannot find file specified
i've encountered an issue with The Sims 4 where every time I try to open the game, it says "System cannot find file specified". Here are the steps I've taken so far:
- Disabled my antivirus (Avast) and repaired the EA app - did not resolve the issue.
- Uninstalled my antivirus, deleted the EA app, and reinstalled it - did not resolve the issue.
- Updated Windows and all drivers - did not resolve the issue.
Additionally, I've verified that The Sims 4 folder is in its correct location, and I haven't installed any new mods the day the issue occurred. The game was working fine in the morning, but stopped opening in the afternoon.
Information: I'm a PC player (Lenovo), Windows 11, I installed The Sims 4 from Steam
Could you please help me resolve this issue? Has anyone else experienced the same problem and resolved it?
