Re: Can't Change Wall Height

I've seen the tutorial.  I do not have the option for wall height.  I've attached a screenshot of my gameplay showing the only options I have, as well as the screenshot from the tutorial that I've already seen.  Is there something I'm not clicking on?

have you tried repairing the game through Origin ? Do you have any mods in your game ?

I've done repairs in the past and haven't noticed any changes.  I have no CC installed.  I'm guessing I may have to reinstall the whole game if there isn't any other fix for this. 

Would it possible you can't do this when you've already done the foundation? 

I'm unsure why you don't have it but maybe our build specialist @BryonyRae can help you further.

Wait with uninstalling. I doubt that will help if repair game doesn't.

A single click on the wall is all it should take to bring up the hover box with the options for wall height as well as to move and rotate the wall.  The image you posted shows the hover box for when you double-click on a wall, which allows you to then remove or replace it.  Now, in my game, when I double-click, I still see both boxes, but I wonder if your game might be replacing one with the other.  Can you please show us a screen shot of what it looks like when you have selected a wall with a single click?  Also, are you using any cheats when building?  I know you said you don't currently have CC or mods, but have you used any in the past?  If so, it would be a good idea to clear your cache just to be sure there is nothing funky in there.

Hi Bryony - I am on a laptop and don't use a mouse.  I do click once the walls, but I'm not sure if it's the way the fingerpad is set up or not.  No cheats when building.  When I am home later I'll be happy to take a screenshot for you 🙂

On my laptop, I have a fingerpad as well as a left and right button.  Regardless of whether I click on my left button once or my fingerpad once, I get the same result.  I have tried pushing various keys on my keyboard as shortcuts but no wall height option appears.

Thank you so much! I'm like 4 hours into a build and it was like my walls shrunk. All of the sudden I noticed my windows/doors & decor was taller /higher than my roof lol
