Found temporary solution. I experiemented and a tablet will fit on the desk, but a computer won't. I tried using a kitchen table and the computer can be placed on it. So apparently a desk isn't a large enough surface for a computer at this time.

Are you using custom content or mods in your game ?
The desk should be large enough to place a computer.
Well, just to say this, every patch can potentially ruin cc and mods so be aware of that.
Did it matter which desk you tried and where ? Was there maybe something above on the wall ?
Hi, what I did when that happened to me, is I used the 'bb.moveobjects on' cheat and that allowed me to place it (it was a cc laptop)
