@Boo_101102 I actually wondered if it was Reshade but I was hoping it wasn't. The game is so blahhh without it ;;

I always notice that once Reshade and the game load up, the menu flashes through its animations about a bajillion times on super speed before going back to normal. I always figured this was a "catchup" of sorts because Reshade takes so long to load. So maybe it's something like that with the camera?

I just am not sure how it would be broken now but not before.

    @failbender Did you try without and can you confirm the theory ?

    It's seems to be connected to the big Windows update (and one Mac :D)

    @crinrict Yes, after removing Reshade and repairing the game, both the CAS and live cameras have slowed down to their normal state. It's really a shame, since I'm so used to the vibrant colors ☹️

    The cameras were fine up until the *Sims* update, so I'm not sure what the recent *Windows* update would have done since that had already happened (at least for me) to no ill effect.

    also disappointed cos my game somehow took even LONGER to load than usual. presumably because I used the repair function, but yeesh!

    There's many, many reports this week over on the Sims community of Tumblr about problems with ReShade and the Win 10 1903 update that just came out. The only workaround I know of is to either uninstall ReShade or roll back the Windows update.

    I use ReShade, but I don't have this problem, because I'm on Win 10 Pro and block updates using the Group Policy Editor.

    @crinrictyes I'm using reshade too. Crap, it's gonna suck having to take that away if that's really the issue ☹️ but I'll try it

    - update - me removing reshade did in fact make it all go back to normal

    Hopefully ReShade can patch this? It would help if we went to the reshade forums as well to try to get their attention about this. So far this one has the most responses:

    @crinrictYes, as a matter of fact, I am.

    I'm using ReShade 3.1.0.231

    I'm going to see if just turning it "off" in game will halt the issue. I wonder if this is happening with all recent ReShade versions - have you received enough information to tell?

    UDPATE: Turning off the overlay while in game does NOT resolve the issue, lol.

    Thanks all for confirming. I'm moving this back to tech.

    As there seems three parties involved in this

    - ReShade
    - Windows Update
    - Sims 4

    I don't know who needs to fix this but for now, you'll either need to revert to before the Windows update or turn of ReShade.

    pg 4, #74, user a1chera_ posted an update to their ts4 issue (I'm thinking spinning camera? Unfortunately, they don't state *specifically* that their issue was related to spinning camera

    This may be a solution to the issue - I'll need to update to 4.3 ReShade to see if this will resolve the issue for and allow me to continue to use ReShade.

    ...except, lol, thuraski doesn't have ReShade ☹️

    Also, when I originally installed the 3.1.0 version I did use DX9.

    @crinrict Ok, I have removed Reshade and repaired my game...went in and..., it didn't make any difference.  I'm still spinning way to fast when I try holding down the scroll and moving.  I'll roll back this afternoon..., no time now. I'll let you know if that works when I get it done. I'll check here again before recovery to see if a new solution has come up.

    @crinrict Yes, I do have reshade. I would test without reshade, but I already uninstalled 1903. ☹️

    I'm on a macbook air. Not sure if reshade exists? Can someone confirm for me? I'm a noob with computers.

    I'm not even using Reshade for the Sims 4. And this is happening. xD Please fix this! D:

    @Kataxenna What Windows version are you at ? Are you not using ReShade at all (aka not installed) or just not for Sims 4 ?

    @ActuallySammy You might wanna post in the mac forum. Maybe someone there has an idea.

    Maybe it's some other program running in the back but I have no idea how that all works on Macs.

    I don't use reshade and I'm having this issue

    I started a fresh game and only used mods that have been updated for the patch, so I'm not sure what could be causing it. I'm on PC

    Im on Version 1903

    And I went and uninstalled Reshade entirely from my computer and still no go. 

    This is really irritating considering i can't even make a sim with the new expansion pack.

    I've repaired, Re-installed. I've done all that. With mods, without. It doesn't fix this issue. D:
