@wrongfulunicorn1 This error is typically related to an antivirus blocking access to the location in question. So if you use a third-party program, please set an exception for EADesktop.exe. If that doesn't help, disable the antivirus, temporarily of course, and try repairing again. As long as you don't do anything else at the same time, your computer should be safe.
If that doesn't help, what error do you see when you try to run Sims 4? Please post a screenshot.
