I know I've already posted what I know about this on a separate thread, but:

I had this same problem, and this seemed to fix it for me, if you haven't tried it yet.

If you exit sims 4 and go to origin, right click on your sims 4 game. On the popup menu, click "Repair Game."

Then just wait... I hope this works for you! It worked for me, but it may not work for everybody.
