Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

• Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
• Tray Folder
• Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
• Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave)
• Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
• Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game. 

I already tried doing that, and I still had the same problem with the resetted files - I opened the game and made a sim, tried moving him into a house and then was stuck on the loading screen again

Did you try repairing the game yet ?

2017 and this issue since long ago in 2016 is still not fixed :/

is all ur solution to every of the 1000 user reporting this only saying   "share save file / do u use any mods blabla" ?

it is obvios not a issue on our savegame neither  mods   more than half clealry stating they not use / never used mods

i got the same problem as these other 1000 user

we loading our family and game keeps auto jump back to city / world select

if not have a solution can spare us this "share save game  do u use any mods" reply on every post   it does definity help nobody :/

and unlikely u are checking all these 500 + savegames they posting on this bug anyway

sorry if i sound rude  but someone really had to say this

any known EA member can reply to this more liekly  if they are aware of this bug  and if they are trying to solve this

This issue has several causes and a lot of solutions.

It's not a bug as such but a symptom of one. Basically, it's a corruption of your save game that causes the game to revert to the last 'safe' point which is the map. So basically, the game runs into an error on trying to load the lot and for some reason can't. 

So for this issue, yes, QA needs save games. They have already fixed quite a few issues that have caused this and currently, there's only one left that I'm aware of which is a problem with community lots that 'loose' their required objects for some reason and then can't be loaded anymore.

This issue can also be caused by incompatible mods so it's not far-fetched to ask for that.

In your case, does every lot have the issue (once you have it, you'll need to completely exit the game and reload it or it will spread on other lots and save games) ? Did you do any troubleshooting ? I won't ask for your save as you made clear that you don't want to share yours but as it's an individual problem, it would be good if you could provide some more details.

how can this be a savegame problem when i just started a new game  create my family  move into appartment  play 5 minutes

then i go back wardrobe to change clothes  press done and suddenly iam back in world selection

i see hmm aha  i restart sims try load  and can not load my just 5 minute new game anymore

and several ppl here reported the same issue  it works  only untill the next loading screen

once exit sims can no more load this savegame anymore  the problem as many mention happen since an update

i not know which as i play sims 4 only since yesterday again  which had update on origin   but as this bug not leave me i find this issue here it seems to be world wide known already

ppl reporting  using mods  using no mods   it just revert back to world selection instead family

the issue must be in the game  as   if savegame there are TOO MANY   reporting all this same problem  who just started a new game :/

Are you personally using any cc/mods ?

As I said, for some it can be mod related.

Have you tried renaming your entire user folder and starting a new save and you still get the issue after 5 min ?

There's so many causes to this and each case needs to be looked at separately. The issue that was causing the issue in this particular thread has been fixed. 

I haven't seen many thread lately with people having this problem. Are they happening a lot in your community or where do you see still see many reports ?

mods yes i use    but i do see other have the same issue clearly stating they never used mods

the last post about this issue  before i find and talk was about 1 month ago  "if scroll 5 post back"

possible they write on another forums too or created different thread here

if google "sims 4 loading family goes back to world select"  and similiar issue writing there is very many search result about this

i not know since when this bug appear as last time i did play sims 4  was after the vampire expansion i purchased  everything still worked fine

possible the bug is happening to these who missing a specific expansion  or stuff pack   is hard finding out as not everyone have this but plenty  users do

we already find out it not be mod related and  it not be save related  

maybe a specific language on sims4  a small bug can lead to big disaster  or like i sayd a missing content pack

should never be the issue but we never know where bugs can sneak in  ☹️

we all know by mods as example if miss a specific game pack   the entire game will not work or be buggy  if use this mod

I'm thinking we might have a language barrier issue here.

What's language do you normally speak/write ?

i  russia  but my sims 4 game and  origin client is set to german language   and i usualy write in english as everyone (almost) can understand

my english is bad  but readable

possible this bug  in sims 4 appear in german language among some other

i did have similiar issue in different game called Dying light  which had problems in german language but were nice playable in english version 

not i know this is the relation to this bug  but possible everything   just sad EA it self never replys to this

I just have the impression, you're having issues understanding what I'm saying. Would German be better for you then English ? I speak German so we can sort this via PM if that's better for you.

Did you try with removing your mods ? You say it's not a mod problem for you say I assume you tried that ?

i do understand english all fine   i just bad in writing

but mods removed i have not  try  as i see alot user post the same problem  mentioning they do not use mods

personaly if not use the mods i have i do not even really want play as they are important  like slower game clock  (yes sims time clock is always super fast i not like it)

my they did work always fine in all the time untill i had the update recently on orign :/

if any mod was not working correctly  i have issues ingame like sims reset by trying an interaction

but this returning to world select  is something else

I understand when players want an official reply from EA however Answers HQ isn't just a forum it's a community focused on players helping players. Out of these players who help others some stick around longer than others and Crinrict here has posted nearly 85 000 posts on Answers HQ alone. Her activity within this forum and more specifically the Sims Community is unparalleled and she offers some great advice. With that in mind would you be able to remove your mods before going any further?

just tested my entire mod folder and it was  the file called  MTS_IceM_1587727_timeChanger.rar

i use this since beginning sims 4  it is the best mod  to me as this decrease the clock speed

which is giving us nice time to do everything in the game and feels more realistic as we can actualy play sims ^^

should have been since sims 1  but sadly even in  2 3 4 was way to fast not give much time to ennjoy it ☹️

after few min out of school already night time and sleep again

yet i will need find a new time mod to reduce clock speed or hope this one is updated on MTS 🙂

it be good idea to create a trick and add all the possible solutions by other about this bug

my issue was the mod file  MTS_IceM_1587727_timeChanger

glad to hear that you found the culprit.

I believe MC Command Center has an option like that. The mod is updated often.
