Re: game loading preventing from saving

Have you tried moving moving the mods folder to the desktop and deleting your game cache to help with troubleshooting. If it loads okay, it may be that some of the mods/cc have become outdated.

Disabling or turning off both mod/cc options isn't enough of a test.

    Thanks for the advice, I deleted all of my Cache Files as well as my broken/updates mods and cc. Sadly, I still have the same problem. I don't know what to do. Any suggestions?

    The only thing I can think of off the top of my head is try a Sims 4 factory reset -

    Rename your current Sims 4 folder to Sims 4_Backup. - Renaming it will help have a backup and keep your Sims 4 files safe.

    Repair the Sims 4 game. In Origin > Game Library - right-click on Sims 4 and select Repair.

    Try playing the game, this will create a new Sims 4 folder. Try playing a new save, if everything is playing okay, try playing your broken game. If it's still giving you issues, then do not save.

    However if it does work, then start putting the files back.

    If all goes well with a new game. Copy your old saved games from your backup. (list of files and folders below).

    - Options.ini (User game settings)
    - Tray Folder (Sims/Houses/Commercial lots and rooms)
    - Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
    - Rest of the save games, if any.
    (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave. It is not used anymore.)
    - Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, makeup
    - Mods (Put these back one by one to make sure they all still work)

    Please do test your mods and custom content, as some of them maybe outdated and either need to be deleted or replaced.

    Something to add...

    I did try to search on the issue, and found this thread:

    It has a few suggestions

    - Try without mods
    - Try Save As instead of save
    - Try a different household in same game and try using Save As.
    - If the above works, go back to your previous household and use Save As.
    - Try loading a previous game and use Save As on that.

    There maybe more tips in that thread, but that's what stood out to me.

    I'd still definitely try the Sims 4 factory reset I mentioned above. If none of the above help. We may need to call in Crin or Jpkarlsen for help. Unless you find something in the thread linked above. If you do, let me know. 🙂

    I looked through my mods/cc and the page you showed me with the outdated, updated, broken, etc mods. I removed all of the cc that could cause this glitch, but I tried making a new household, and it still doesn't let me save. This is getting very confusing because I have no idea what to do, I have a lot of cc, I'm pretty sure all of them are safe. Maybe a lot of cc in one game could do something? I'm not sure, hope someone knows what to do! (I also looked at the thread you linked, I tried they're advice, did not work.)

    @yeaitstori i have this problem right now too... I started a new Topic about it, but don't have a solution either. Nothing seems to be working :/
