Its taken me almost 13 hours to download the entire game with a download speed of 251.02 kb/sec ! I find it rediculess that the company even put out the discs if you still have to download it all online. They lied to the box saying you just need internet for activation! If i was told i would have to download it all i would have rather bought an online code for the game! That is such a waste and the company should think about the people that dont have internet access… if i would buy this game for my teenage cousin she would have been so unhappy when she couldn't install from the discs.

- With a download speed of 251.02 kb/sec I'm not surprised it took so long, mine is only 543kb/sec and will also take a long time. There's not much to do but sit and wait.
- It took so long for me. I got this new laptop and it took me two days to figure out how to install it. They need to be more discriptive to log into Orgin. Finally today Sims 4 installed. It took 6 hours. I had to keep my laptop on just to download it. But it was worth it I played Sims 4 from 6-11o clock. I love the game but the downloading and installing is just RIDICULOUS!
Ive had exactly the same issue. I had the product purchased in a shop ie disc for my daughter to download. I am in hospital with another daughter and believed the 14 year old could have a treat and with a disc this would be an easy process..... HOW WRONG. I have now spent hours trying to do this at home after she told me in tears that it was really hard. I did not want my families time wasted like this. I am now trying to download from Origin.
I don't want to do loads of math so I used this site: http://downloadtimecalculator.com/ You put your Mbps, but not MBps. (take this test to know yours http://beta.speedtest.net/#) They are very different. Mbps is megabits per second but MBps is megabytes. My one says it will take: 17 hours 53 minutes and 44 seconds. ikr very slow... plus the Sims 4 is round about 15 GB. 14GB for base game and 1GB for CC or saves. Please correct if me I'm wrong!
