Re: I don't have a bin folder for the sims 4

@loverofthings  If you've installed the game through Steam, this will be the default location:

Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Sims 4\Game\Bin

  • How the heck do you save the changes?! I tried changing the resolution that way and when I hit save it askes me if I want to replace it. I click yes and then it says I don't have permission to do so. I'm so frustrated, I watched all these tutorials of people doing it easily and mine is blocking me for some reason. How do you get permission to change the res??? Help Please!!!

@b614db0016da8f26  First of all, it looks like you're editing the file in Bin_LE, which is for the Legacy Edition.  Edits to this file won't change anything if you're running the standard version; you'll need to edit the file in Bin (without the _LE) instead.

If you use a third-party antivirus, disable it while you're editing the file.

You can also try copying the file to your desktop, editing it how you'd like, then moving the new copy back to its proper location in Bin, which should overwrite the original, that is if your system grants you permission.
