Re: is this computer good for the sims

@uuluvvzari  It's not a matter of my preference but what you'd like to do.  If you want a proper gaming laptop, which would run Sims 4, all packs included, on ultra graphics settings, and don't mind spending $600, this one would work:

The one drawback is its low storage, but 256 GB is more than enough for Windows, Sims 4, a large pile of custom content, and plenty of small apps.  It's only on sale for today, but there are usually other entry-level gaming laptops in this price range too.

If you want more storage, these are some good options too.  Their graphics card is a bit slower than the one in the Lenovo above but still capable of ultra settings.

If you don't want a gaming laptop, the price for a system with a good integrated graphics chip, rather than a dedicated card, is significantly lower.  For example, these should handle medium-high to high graphics settings:

This one is the best of this group in terms of hardware because it has double the RAM and otherwise equivalent hardware:

This one's even cheaper, and should have essentially the same performance, if 256 GB is enough storage for you:

The graphics chips in these laptops are around 30% faster, still not at the level of a dedicated graphics card (which would be almost twice as fast), but good enough for high graphics settings:

Other than the extra RAM in the last three above, and the one I pointed out in the first group of non-gaming laptops, the hardware is the same or equivalent within each group, so performance in Sims 4 should be roughly equivalent as well.  That means it's fine to choose based on other features: price, screen size, weight, aesthetics, whatever matters to you.

If you have more questions, please feel free to ask.
