Re: Looking for a Convertible Laptop for Sims 4
@shaki_lady Dedicated graphics cards are always faster than integrated chips, and therefore better for gaming, but Sims 4 does just fine on a high-end iGPU these days. An RTX 4060 is definitely overkill, and I wouldn't ever suggest someone spend 2,000€ or the equivalent just to play Sims 4.
The best integrated graphics chips available now can run Sims 4 on high-ultra settings even with all current packs installed, at least if you're playing at a 1920x1080 resolution. (You might need to turn the settings down a bit at a higher resolution, or else play at 1080p, but it's always fine to experiment.) The iGPU in a given laptop is determined by the CPU in that a given processor will (almost) always have the same iGPU. This is especially relevant because many spec sheets don't list the exact model graphics chip, just the family; you can't assume that "Radeon Graphics" means the same thing every time.
Anyway, you'd ideally want one of these CPUs:
Intel Core Ultra 5 135H; Ultra 7 155H, 165H; ultra 9 185H
AMD Ryzen 7 7840U/S/HS, 8840U/HS, 8845HS; Ryzen 9 x94xHS
These are a bit slower but still great:
Intel Core Ultra 5 125H
Ryzen 7 6800U/H/HS, 7735U/H/HS
Ryzen 5 7640U/HS, 8640U/HS
If you find a convertible laptop with any of these processors and at least 16 GB RAM, you should get what you're looking for. Since I don't know what country you're in, I can't offer specific recommendations, but here's an example that also happens to fit your other requirements:
As you can see, it's not anywhere near 2,000€ either. I'm not suggesting this is the best laptop for you personally, only that what you want is out there and reasonably-priced.
Feel free to ask more questions in general or for help finding what you want in your country or your preferred stores.
