Oops... Turns out my mouse was just old and broken. I tried a new mouse and it worked. Sorry!!

Actually, yes. When I encountered this issue a search turned up a forum thread. The suggestion was to hold down the ctrl key+right mouse button. Worked for me, hope it helps you.
