Re: [MODS/CC RELATED] New Sim Profile/Sentiment Panel not working

So i just installed the update and I cant open my Sims profile? When I click the button nothing happens. I have tried removing my mods and it works but I don't know what mod is causing it. I looked at the broken mods forum and I already deleted the mods that were on that list but still doesn't do anything. I will do the 50/50 method but I want to know what might be causing this. Traits? Script Mods? It will definitely help if I found what kind of mod was causing it

  • Yeah, no. No it isn't. I don't have any trait mods, none of my mods are on the list of broken mods, so I'm confused as to why the sentiment system isn't working. I did what you suggested and it still isn't working.

Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.

Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

    • Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
    • Tray Folder
    • Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
    • Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)
    • Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
    • ConfigOverride, if you have your own configuration files.
    • Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

@themessalina Just 'cause they're not on the "list", doesn't mean they aren't broken. And just because a mod isn't listed as a "trait" mod, doesn't mean it doesn't use custom traits.

You'll just have to go through all your mods, remove them until it work again and you find out which mod is the problem.
