Hey i have a similar problem, where i can click download, but it keeps ''preparing download'' in my download manager. I even preordered the pack, but somehow the money haven't been taken out of my account and right now im just really frustrated since it says that i own it, but it wont download. I tried to clear cache and all. But nothing works ☹️

I was just having the same problem. It hadn’t charged me yet either. I made sure I had enough money in the account it was going to charge just now and it finally let me download it, after it charged me. Hope this helps!
I’m having the exact same issue. I have put in the redemption code and it says that I own the pack but won’t let me download it. I have enough space on my PC. I’ve tried repairing the whole of the sims 4. I’ve tried deleting things I don’t use from my pc to free up more storage but it won’t work at all
If anyone is having a download issue such as stuck in preparing check the EA.com order history and make sure it doesn't say processing. If it does cancel the order and purchase again. Mine downloaded in less than a min.

What if it says the purchase is completed? I have the confirmation number that I bought it.

I'm having this exact problem too. I've tried cancelling the order but it's still showing the pack as owned in the app so I can't try to repurchase it, it's getting very frustrating. I've been trying to fix this since yesterday.
Update: Just used the live chat and was told I just have to wait until it's fixed. I was so excited for this pack and now I'm just annoyed I've got the same issue. I pre-ordered it almost a month ago (not through EA/Origin) as I usually do then redeemed the code yesterday, which was successful. Origin says I purched the pack and own the content, just that it's not installed yet. There is no install option though. Usually, I need to go to the game in the library, click on MORe and EXPANSION PACKS and then scroll down until I find the new pack to click on the install option, which is missing. I can only click on purchase as a gift or view in library. I can even see the world icon in game, it says I own the pack but haven't installed it yet. I repaired my game and signed out, restarted my MacBook, but nothing changed.

I was told the same. At 0200 est it was in the "final stages of development to fix it" but I'm not holding my breath...
im having the same issue and then i cancelled it but it still says own on ea games can someone please help

Same! I have done everything they recommended before they even recommend it those are just common sense. I hate that I continue to spend a lot of money on these games and I never have even posted on here but I understand mistakes happen but this is a huge fumble I already paid and it's 24 hours past the release time I want my game.

Hello, I still have the issue of the pack not being available after doing the following.
The EA App and Origin seems to not detect that I've bought the pack already. In-game though, it says I own it and "Download to use".
My EA App is indeed up to date, said the updater and it exited.
My transaction has been complete and fulfilled based on the order history ever since I've preordered early after the announcement was made.

I still don't have access to the Horse Ranch despite pre-ordering it, I can't download, EA App doesn't say I even own it, Origin says I own it.
My Support ticket keeps getting marked as "Solved" because I can't continue it due to the horrible system.

In my opinion the problem isn't with the app itself, it's the transaction and it seems like no one cares about it and it just pisses me off.
I bought the pack a week ago, money has been taken from my account as deposit for the purchase adn Customer Portal shows that my purchase is in processing. IT HAS BEEN A WEEK FOR GODS SAKE, either release the deposit or give me my game😮.
I'm really starting to think about taking this for consumer ombudsman.
WK0723W-I5SQ-UXZU-YF Still unable to download, have reinstalled, cleared cache, updated, signed in and out. Tried everything. I ordered through Amazon, the game says I own, but download button just lights up and nothing happens.

Now it's worse, my games aren't even showing in my library. Like I stated in a previous post I uninstalled the Sims 4 entirely to see if that would help, so now I have no access to the game at all. Please advise on what to do.

Hey all,
For those of you seeing a Completed or Fulfilled transaction for Horse Ranch in your account's Order History, could you let us know if you're able to successfully install your DLC, or if you're still running into any issues please?
Yes, my order is completed and i still have problems downloading the expansion pack with it being stuck on preparing.
