Re: [Resolved] Game ownership disabled or deleted

I’m having the same issue. Looking in where my game should be installed, I see my saves and downloads still there, but the Game/ folder has disappeared (where the .exe lives). The EA app is unhelpful and just says that my game has been removed from my library. I tried reinstalling and the download keeps having an error and says to try again in a few minutes.

i have smashed the ea app cache and restarted with no joy. When I contacted EA support they said they allegedly know about the issue and that they don’t have a fix for it yet :/

I’ve had the game and expansion packs registered with my account for years and they show up in my library when I look at all the games I own in the ea app.

@iamthecool1  It sounds like you're looking in Documents > Electronic Arts, which is where the Sims 3 user folder is stored.  This is NOT where the game itself should be installed, and in fact doing so can have several significant negative consequences.

If you search your computer for "The Sims 3" (without quotes), do you see another folder, or is it just gone?  Are you seeing the "game ownership disabled or deleted" error, or something else?  It would help to have a screenshot or two—there are currently several similar but distinct EA App download errors.

oh duh (faceplam), I obviously was very tired and upset last night. Yes, the exe and all the game files are still there in Program Files/<rest of path>/Game/Bin. The error I'm getting is "Game ownership disabled or deleted" then there's a link to a help article that is unhelpful, to say the least.
