Re: Save files randomly deleted.

Hi @LordBlaine57 -  It sounds like you may have a Windows PC with OneDrive, and the game was reading the online Documents folder one time and your local Documents folder the other time. Check to see if you have The Sims 4 folder in both OneDrive and on your PC - there's a great picture of how to check at this link: https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2018/07/how-to-find-your-user-folder/ (scroll down to the part that says "In the file system")

If you have The Sims 4 folders in both places, copy both of them to your desktop as a backup (change the folder names so you know which one was where - like "TS4 OneDrive"). Then decide if you want to keep your "My Documents" folder online in OneDrive - it's all or nothing, you can't choose to just keep some documents online and others offline. If you keep them online, you can't use them if you're not connected to the Internet Turn off OneDrive

Once you have your Documents save preference set, then merge/copy the contents of your backup Saves folder to the correct place. For the PC, the default location is C:\"Your Windows User Name"\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\saves". This can be a little tricky, but it's not too horrible.

There are probably save files with the same name in both. Just rename the files to use a different, unused number. So if you're moving the "TS4 OneDrive" saves to your hard drive, look at the contents of the "TS4 HardDrive" files. There will be files named Slot_00000001.save, Slot_00000001.save.ver0, ...etc, probably in both folders. Find the last number used on your hard drive (let's say you have groups named Slot_00000001, Slot_00000002, Slot_00000003, Slot_00000004) and then change the ones you're copying to start as the next number (Slot_00000005).

Once you know where your Documents folder is located and you've moved all your saves to that folder, launch the game. You should see all of the previous games from both places listed when you click on the Load Game button.

Please reply back and let us know if this resolves your issue or if you need me to clarify any of the instructions. Happy Simming!!
