I am having the same problem, but I am getting an error message that says 'Please check if you have an internet connection and please try again.' I know I have an internet connection. I deleted the Sims 4 CAS Demo, I removed Mods & CC, installed and re-installed the game and Origin, removed background apps that were running, and even made the game an exception through my firewall but nothing is working.
Help would be appreciated.
