@leenieweenie  Does the game work fine with no mods or custom content present?  You don't have to save your progress with the content removed; the point is to find out whether this is in fact the issue.  If it is, the solution is to test the rest of the content to find out what else is broken.

If the game keeps freezing with no mods or cc present, then we need to look elsewhere.  In that case, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
