This happened last night but i was playing the sims 4 and i got up for a few seconds and when i got back my screen was black and now i can still click on a few things but i cant close the game and when i try to click on the 3 dots in the top right i can't see the thing that pops up when i click it to try and close it
@paytonig I've split your post into its own thread since the other thread was a bit old. First of all, if you can't close the game, hit ctrl-alt-delete, bring up the Task Manager, select Sims 4, and click End Task. If you can't see the Task Manager, hit ctrl-alt-delete again and sign out of your Windows account. That will boot you to the sign-in screen and close any running apps, including Sims 4.
Restart your computer (by choosing Restart in the menu in the lower-left corner, not by holding the power button), and try again to play. If you still get a black screen, or you see another issue that prevents the game from working properly, let me know, and also run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
